COACHING CAREER: Enters his second season coaching at the major league level…named process and analytics coach on Dec 4, 2018…in this role, he works to improve decision-making processes and practice methods, and gather feedback from players and coaches alike... Begins his eighth season with the Rays, seventh full-time…spent two seasons (2017-18) as director of analytics, overseeing the club's research efforts and coordinating improvements to decision-making processes....Joined the Rays as an intern in January 2013, before earning promotions to assistant and then analyst in baseball research and development....Is the first Canadian-born coach in Rays history....Interned with the Blue Jays baseball operations department in 2012.

PERSONAL & MISC.: His nickname is J-Money....Earned a mathematics degree from Princeton University....Played three years of club hockey at Princeton, primarily as a goalie and occasionally as a forward....His cousin, Mike Cammalleri, has played 15 seasons as a center/wing in the NHL for the Kings, Canadiens, Flames, Oilers and Devils....Last July in Toronto, he was featured on CTV National News-being interviewed by a reporter also named Jon Erlichman.
