This past offseason, Daniel launched the Daniel Robertson Family Foundation, which supports families when one of the breadwinners or homemakers has cancer and is unable to work while receiving treatments…the Foundation was inspired by his father, Don, who passed away on Sep 7, 2013 at the age of 50, following a battle with lung cancer...The Daniel Robertson Family Foundation held its first "Mini Fan Fest" on Jan 22 where he trains in the offseason, featuring numerous games, autographs and appearances by fellow Rays prospects Jake Bauers and Jacob Faria, BOS Joe Kelly and CWS Lucas Giolito...Daniel's mother, Julie, holds a private car dealer's license...Daniel attended the MLB Rookie Career Development Program in January along with Willy Adames, Jacob Faria and Ryne Stanek… the four-day orientation program included media training, time management and financial planning…he also participated in the Rays Winter Development Program at Tropicana Field in January.

Spent the season with Triple-A Durham, playing in 118 games…made 112 starts at three different infield positions (74-SS, 20-2B, 18-3B)...Did not commit an error in 98 total chances at 2B…had a .974 fielding pct. (304-TC, 8-E) at SS and a .942 fielding pct. (52-TC, 3-ER) at 3B...Led the team with 113 hits…ranked among team leaders in runs (50, 3rd), total bases (155, 3rd), walks (58, 3rd) and HBP (11, 1st)…his 100 SO were the most in his career...Had a higher avg. vs. LHP (.280) than RHP (.250), but a higher OBP vs. RHP (.364) than LHP (.342)...Hit .270/.406/.409 (37-for-137) with 2 HR and 12 RBI after the All-Star break...Was a non-roster invite to Rays spring training for the second straight year…reassigned to minor league camp on March 15...Ranked by Baseball America as the No. 15 prospect in the Rays organization following the season.
