Taylor has a 115-pound, 7-year-old Goldendoodle named Nelson...His father, Chris, was a placekicker at Alfred (N.Y.) University and led Division II kickers in points per game in 1970…his mother, Cindy, played tennis at College of Charleston...His older sister, Meredith, is a former Air Force pilot and Vero Beach flight instructor…she now teaches special ed in Boston...Collects designer socks…he has 115 pairs of Stance Socks in his rotation.

2016

Spent the entire season with Double-A Montgomery, finishing 12-6 with a 3.76 ERA (146-IP, 61) in 28 apps (26 starts)...Established career highs in starts, innings and strikeouts (89) for the second consecutive season…previous highs were 18 starts, 78 IP and 72 SO in 2015…his 12 wins doubled his previous career high (6, 2013)...Tied Yonny Chirinos for the most wins among Rays minor leaguers…tied for the Southern League lead with two others...Also ranked among SL leaders in starts (tied for 4th), innings (3rd) and opp avg.
