March 11 game will benefit Rays community partners


ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. - Proceeds from the sale of single-game tickets to the Tampa Bay Rays-Minnesota Twins spring training game on Tuesday, March 11 at Charlotte Sports Park will benefit the Rays Charlotte County community partners.

Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Sun Coast, the Charlotte County Family YMCA, Charlotte County Habitat for Humanity and the Charlotte County Homeless Coalition will be the recipients.

Representatives from each will throw out the ceremonial first pitch prior to the 1:05 p.m. game.

In addition, the Rays will again be featured at the Sixth Annual BaseBALL Dinner & Auction benefiting the Boys & Girls Clubs of Charlotte County. The event will be held on Friday, March 21 at 6:30 p.m., at Charlotte Harbor Event & Conference Center in Punta Gorda. To purchase tickets, fans should call (941) 979-8379. Expected this year are Rays Manager Joe Maddon, his coaching staff and several players.
