Red Sox at the plate: Manny Ramirez finished his Grapefruit League season by going 2-for-2. David Ortiz produced an RBI single. Alex Ochoa added a solo homer.

Devil Rays at the plate: Carl Crawford went 2-for-3 with a triple, two RBIs and a run scored. Elijah Dukes belted two hits and scored a run.

Red Sox on the mound: Prospect Clay Buccholz came over from Minor League camp and scattered seven hits and three earned runs over 4 2/3 innings. The right-hander had no walks and three strikeouts.

Devil Rays on the mound: Edwin Jackson, fresh off being named the fifth starter on Wednesday, allowed seven hits and a run over six innings. He struck out five.

Grapefruit League records: Red Sox 13-12-4; Devil Rays 9-18-2.

Up next: The Red Sox send No. 5 starter Julian Tavarez to the mound for Friday night's 7:05 p.m. ET road game at Citizens Bank Park in Philadelphia.

The Devil Rays take on the Reds in Sarasota, Fla., with Jae So making the start in a 1:05 p.m. contest.
