Utility infielder Brendan Harris, who is hoping to earn a roster spot, had a hustling double in the sixth. A day after hitting a three-run homer against the Reds, Jonny Gomes hit his fourth double of the spring off Boston submariner Javier Lopez.
The Red Sox will host the Marlins in Fort Myers, Fla., on Sunday in a 1:05 p.m. contest. Right-hander Josh Beckett will start for Boston against his former team, while Yusmeiro Petit will start for Florida.
